Spectra Laser Peel™ is a unique and effective skin resurfacing treatment that leverages the dual mode capacity of the Spectra VRM III™ laser to provide outstanding clinical results.

Spectra Laser Peel is performed by the Spectra VRM III laser in Spectra Mode™ its proprietary 300 μs, quasi-long pulse Nd:YAG wavelength. Spectra Mode is employed in combination with photo enhancing Spectra Lotion™ to perform the Spectra Laser Peel procedure. Spectra Laser Peel utilizes both mechanical and thermal exfoliation to precisely remove 40 to 60 μm of tissue. Spectra Laser Peel is one of the most effective and innovative non-ablative skin resurfacing procedures available today. This two-step thermal resurfacing process shows dramatic results with acne scar and fine wrinkle reduction. Incurring no downtime, patients can return to their normal activity immediately after treatment. Clinicians benefit from reduced treatment times and improved patient satisfaction.

On the first pass, Spectra Laser Peel harnesses the Spectra Mode of the Spectra VRM III laser. The quasi-long pulse, which is delivered at 1064 nm, provides photo-bio-stimulation to the epidermis, gently heating and mildly exfoliating the outermost layer of the skin. The following passes (also at 1064 nm) in Q-switched mode result in immediate photomechanical destruction of the micro-fine carbon particles in the previously applied Spectra Lotion. Because the outermost layer of dead skin cells are gently removed, the dermal cells associated with skin regeneration (fibroblasts, mast cells and macrophage cells) are stimulated, resulting in collagen re-modeling and controlled resurfacing. The skin surface is improved in tone and texture including a reduction in wrinkles and scars, without significant downtime or side effects.

Certain commonly acquired pigmented lesion disorders among Fitzgerald skin types III and V have been difficult to treat with lasers and other light sources that target melanin. These attempts have frequently resulted in irritation, PIH or other complications, and on occasion have worsened the pigmented lesions, especially in Asian patients.

Doctors using the Lutronic Spectra VRM III™ laser system have reported excellent success rates with a new approach to these types of pigmented lesions. Spectra Laser Toning is an advanced treatment that utilizes the flexibility of the Spectra VRM III Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser and is ideal for many types of pigmented lesions.

Some pigmented lesions are easily irritated and can be a recurring skin disorder. The uniform beam profile and short pulse width of the Spectra VRM III is very important in achieving reliable and predictable clinical results with these pigmented lesions without significant risk of adverse reactions.

Spectra Laser Toning is a non-ablative procedure, which patients can typically tolerate without the use of topical anesthetics, and as a result are able to return to their normal daily routines immediately. Treatments are repeated 5 to 10 times at intervals of between 7 and 10 days until the pigmented lesions are no longer visible.

Lutronic has developed an ingenious way to assist doctors in removing colorful tattoos.

Two Spectra Dye™ handpieces are available as optional accessories to the Spectra VRM III. When attached in the 532 nm setting these dye-impregnated handpieces can be used to effectively treat any color tattoo.

Spectra Dye handpieces are offered in two wavelengths. The 650 nm Spectra Dye handpiece can be used to remove various green inks. The 585 nm Spectra Dye handpiece is highly effective in treating sky blue ink. With the addition of the Spectra Dye handpieces, the Spectra VRM III offers the benefit of four wavelengths in one laser!
